Cast in solid brass and made to instrument standards, this blowpoker is both beautiful and practical. Air blown gently through the shaft increases in speed by the time it exits through a smaller opening at the far end, forcing oxygen onto the bed of coals. Elliptical Fireplace Set
Thomas Jefferson's favorite architectural shape was the ellipse, so much so that it was incorporated into the main entrance of the Rotunda at the University of Virginia. Inspired by Jefferson’s genius, the design of this firetool set has an elegant elliptical shape in its main base, and you will notice the gracious curves of the elliptical handles of each tool as well. The entire set is heavily cast in solid brass. Included in the set are three classic fire tools: a poker, brush and shovel.
