This elegant solid brass doorknocker is unusually heavy in its casting. The Blair House door knocker is a precise replica from one of the most famous doors in the United States - the front door of the Blair House in Washington, D.C., near the White House. For two hundred years, the Blair House has been the guest house for the great, the famous and the infamous: from statesmen to scholars, scientists to scoundrels, European royalty to pretenders of royalty. Greet your guests in the same flair and sophistication as the Blair House with our Blair House door knocker. It is cast in pure solid brass, flawlessly detailed, and beautifully finished. Comes with a heavy solid brass striker button and 2" brass screws.
Measures: 9" x 2.5" x 4.5". Spacing between holes: 5.25", which may vary slightly as each Blair House door knocker is hand made. If selecting finishing buttons, this door knocker requires 2.
Because of the handcrafted workmanship of each piece, you may occasionally be able to discern very small inclusions, imperfections, and even slight size variations. This is to be expected, and we ask that you understand that they are an inherent part of the manufacturing process. Our products are solid brass, and we believe they are the best that can be made today. They sell themselves...just pick one up. Feeling is believing! If you receive one that has a slight discoloration, it is not a defect. It has travelled over 8,000 miles from the factory to our warehouse. Use a metal polish, such as Brasso or Wenol, to correct any discoloration.
