This brass candle holder is an authentic reproduction of a design found in a 19th century field stone farm house on Virginia's Shenandoah River - a site made famous during the Civil War as General Stonewall Jackson's headquarters during his defense of the Valley. What makes this brass candlestick so special, in addition to its historical significance and unusual weight, is the uniquely shaped concaved base. This particular angle of the concentric circle maximizes the reflection of light from the burning candle by enabling the brass to mirror itself and thus enhance the sparkle and brightness of candlelight. Measures 10" high. Base measures 5" across. Each candlestick is sold individually.
